De nombreux agents pathogènes ont développé des stratégies complexes leur permettant d’échapper à l’action des traitements antimicrobiens couramment prescrits, alors même que l’innovation pharmaceutique dans ce domaine progresse lentement. Dans ce contexte, l’étude approfondie des bases moléculaires de la résistance apparaît indispensable. Elle constitue un levier essentiel pour surveiller l’évolution des résistances à l’échelle internationale, améliorer les pratiques thérapeutiques, orienter la mise au point de nouvelles molécules plus efficaces et concevoir des approches alternatives afin de limiter l’impact de ce phénomène sur la santé humaine. The growing rise of bacterial resistance to antibiotics represents one of the most critical public health challenges of our time. Many pathogens have developed complex strategies that enable them to evade the action of commonly prescribed antimicrobial treatments, while pharmaceutical innovation in this field is progressing slowly. In this context, an in-depth study of the molecular basis of resistance appears essential. It is a key tool for monitoring the evolution of resistance on an international scale, improving therapeutic practices, guiding the development of new, more effective compounds, and designing alternative approaches to limit the impact of this phenomenon on human health.
