     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Alors que les mécanismes impliqués dans la tolérance à la dessiccation (TD) restent partiellement incompris, les osmolytes capables d'échanger des liaisons hydrogène, tels que les disaccharides, les acides aminés et les acides organiques, semblent jouer un rôle crucial. Ces osmolytes sont également de plus en plus utilisés en chimie verte comme composants clés des solvants eutectiques naturels profonds (NaDES). Nous présentons ici des preuves expérimentales soutenant l'hypothèse selon laquelle les NaDES pourraient former une troisième phase liquide dans les tissus des graines, où ils pourraient solubiliser et protéger les macromolécules pendant la déshydratation. Après avoir identifié les composants présumés des  NaDES, appelés DESmolytes, leur colocalisation et leurs interactions préférentielles au sein des compartiments des graines ont été révélées par imagerie par spectrométrie de masse (MSI). En se basant sur ces résulats, des NaDES reconstitués in vitro ont montré une capacité à protéger les protéines contre la dessiccation et le stress thermique ainsi qu'à solubiliser des métabolites spécialisés des graines de colza. En persepctive, ces résultats doivent être validés dans d'autres organismes, tels que le pollen, afin de confirmer davantage la formation de NaDES dans les cellules vivantes.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">While the mechanisms involved in desiccation tolerance (DT) remain partially misunderstood, osmolytes capable of exchanging hydrogen bonds, such as disaccharides, amino acids and organic acids, appear to play a crucial role. These osmolytes are also increasingly used in green chemistry as key components of natural deep eutectic solvents (NaDES). Here, we present experimental evidence supporting the hypothesis that NaDES may form a third liquid phase within seed tissues, where they could solubilize and protect macromolecules during dehydration. After identifying putative NaDES components, termed DESmolytes, their colocalization and their preferential interaction within seed were revealed by mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). Based on these results, some physicochemical properties of reconstituted mixtures, such as vitrification, were established and translated to the physiological environment of seed to highlight their compatiblity with cellular medium. Reconstituted NaDES showed the ability to protect proteins against desiccation and thermal stress in vitro, as well as to solubilize rapeseed secondary metabolites. As application, we propose several NaDES that could serve as green solvents for natural compound extraction and as priming solutions to enhance seed germination. As a persective, theses results need to be validate in others organisms to furthur supporte NaDES formation in livng cells.</dcterms:abstract>
