Souvent, nous considérons une sous classe spécifique des systèmes hybrides pour mener des études concises et obtenir des résultats pertinents. Dans cette thèse, nous sommes intéressés spécifiquement par l'existence et l'unicité de solutions pour un système de complémentarité linéaire. Ce dernier est en corrélation avec le problème de complémentarité linéaire. À cet égard, l'existence et l'unicité de solutions des deux problèmes est fortement liée à plusieurs classes de matrices comme les P et Q-matrices. Notre objectif principal est d'éclaircir la structure qui se cache derrière ces propriétés matricielles pour éventuellement analyser les solutions d'une manière efficace. L'objectif actuel de cette thèse est de caractériser la Q-matricité pour mieux comprendre l'aspect géométrique de la théorie de complémentarité. Par conséquent, nous mettons en évidence la nature inductive de la Q-matricité dans certains cas particuliers. De plus, nous énonçons une caractérisation des Q-matrices pour n=3 qui fournit un ensemble de test fini pour vérifier la Q-matricité dans l'espace. Enfin, nous examinons les séparations des paires de complementarité par des hyperplans de complémentarité pour énoncer des conditions nécessaires de la Q-matricité. Despite the great interest that was given to hybrid systems, a general theory still seems impetuous. Therefore, investigations are often narrowed down to specific subclasses of hybrid systems to increase the likelihood of obtaining meaningful results. % by allowing concise studies such as well-posedness or stability. In this thesis we are specifically interested in the well-posedness of linear complementarity systems(LCSs). The latter problem together with the well-posedness of linear complementarity problems(LCPs), are interrelated. And in turn, both problems are strongly connected to numerous classes of matrices such as P and Q-matrices. The long-term objective of this thesis is to unravel the hidden structure behind the latter matricial properties to eventually analyze the well posedness of LCSs efficiently. The short term objective is to establish a satisfactory characterization of Q-matricity in order to solidify our understanding of the geometry behind complementarity theory. Hence, we highlight some cases in which the combinatorial Q-covering problem exhibits an inductive nature. In addition, we characterize Q-matricity in low dimensions, providing a finite test set for spatial Q-matricity. And last but not least, inspired by a well known characterization of P-matricity, we examine separations of complementary pairs by complementary hyperplanes, to state necessary conditions of Q-matricity.
