     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Objectif : Le Carriere® Motion 3D™ est un dispositif de correction des malocclusions de classe II. L’objectif est d’analyser ses effets squelettiques et dento-alvéolaires. Méthodes : Les données squelettiques et dentaires étaient évaluées sur des téléradiographies de profil avant et après distalisation. Les premières quantifiaient la dimension antéro-postérieure et verticale, les secondes la position des molaires supérieures et inférieures, des canines maxillaires et des incisives. Résultats : Dans cette étude rétrospective, les radiographies de 62 adolescents (12.6 ± 1.3 ans) en classe II d’Angle ont été analysées. La durée de traitement était de 8.3 ± 1.1 mois. Une distalisation significative des premières molaires (2.7 ± 1.4 mm) et des canines maxillaires (3.1 ± 1.7 mm) a été observée, couplée à une mésialisation de la première molaire mandibulaire (3.6 ± 1.5 mm) et une vestibulo-version de l’incisive mandibulaire (4.4 ± 2.9°). L’angle ANB s’est significativement réduit (-0.79 ± 0.6°). Conclusion :  L’usage du Carriere® Motion 3D™ permet de corriger efficacement les malocclusions de classe II chez l’adolescent, son action étant majoritairement dento-alvéolaire.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">Context: The purpose of this study is to analyse the skeletal and dental effects of the Carriere® Motion 3D™ appliance in the correction of Class II malocclusions. Methods: Skeletal and dental data were assessed on lateral cephalograms before and after distalization. The first quantified the anteroposterior and vertical dimensions, the second the position of the upper and lower molars, maxillary canines and incisors. Results: In this retrospective study, the radiographs of 62 adolescents (12.6 ± 1.3 years old) in Class II malocclusion were analyzed. Treatment duration was 8.3 ± 1.1 months. Significant distalization of the first molars (2.7 ± 1.4 mm) and maxillary canines (3.1 ± 1.7 mm) was observed, coupled with mesialization of the mandibular first molar (3.6 ± 1.5 mm) and proclination of the lower incisor (4.4 ± 2.9°). The ANB angle was significantly reduced (-0.79 ± 0.6°). Conclusion: Use of the Carriere® Motion 3D™ effectively corrects Class II malocclusions in adolescents, its action being predominantly dento-alveolar.
