     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="fr">Pour communiquer avec la direction des opérations, les fantassins de l'armée de terre sont équipés de postes radios portatifs fonctionnant dans les bandes VHF et UHF. L'utilisation de telles fréquences permet de s'affranchir du relief et de tout obstacle obstruant les canaux de propagation entre la station de base et le mobile. Toutefois, l'émission d'informations dans ces bandes de fréquences nécessite l'utilisation d'antennes pouvant atteindre des tailles supérieures à un mètre. Cette thèse propose l'utilisation de Matériaux Magnéto-Diélectriques (MMD), matériaux aux constantes diélectriques et magnétiques supérieures à un, afin d'augmenter la longueur électrique des antennes et par extension, de réduire leur hauteur. Afin de conserver une forte bande passante tout en maximisant la miniaturisation et en assurant un gain réalisé assez élevé pour maintenir une bonne portée de communication, l'utilisation de ce type de matériau a été couplée à deux méthodes d'adaptation permettant d'obtenir des performances compétitives par rapport aux systèmes utilisés auparavant. Finalement, un prototype composé d'une antenne monopole filaire de 50 cm positionné sur un boitier tactique et chargée par une hauteur de 10 cm de cylindres de MMD a été réalisé. Le couplage de ce chargement à un circuit d'adaptation optimisé a permis d'atteindre une miniaturisation de 54 % tout en conservant une bande passante de 100 % à - 5 dB couvrant la totalité de la bande militaire 30-88 MHz. Le gain réalisé de ce prototype a été mesuré et s'avère bien supérieur aux spécifications. Enfin, l'utilisation de toute ces méthodes a permis de conserver un diagramme de rayonnement omnidirectionnel garantissant une excellente réception.</dcterms:abstract>
     <dcterms:abstract xml:lang="en">In order to communicate with the operations command, infantry soldiers in the army are equipped with portable radio stations that operate in the VHF and UHF frequency bands. These frequencies allow them to navigate through varied terrain and overcome obstacles that might block the communication channels between the base station and the mobile unit. However, broadcasting information in these frequency bands requires antennas that can be larger than one meter. This thesis suggests the use of Magneto-Dielectric Materials (MDM), materials with dielectric and magnetic constants greater than one, to increase the electrical length of antennas and consequently reduce their height. To maintain a robust bandwidth, while maximizing miniaturization and ensuring a sufficiently high realized gain for effective communication range, this material is coupled with two adaptation methods, resulting in competitive performance compared to previously employed systems. Ultimately, a prototype consisting of a 50 cm wire monopole antenna positioned on a tactical housing and loaded with 10 cm high MDM cylinders was developed. The coupling of this loading to an optimized adaptation circuit achieved a 54% miniaturization, while maintaining a 100% bandwidth at -5 dB, covering the entire military band of 30-88 MHz. The realized gain of this prototype was measured and proved to be well above specifications. Finally, the combination of these methods ensured the preservation of an omnidirectional radiation pattern, guaranteeing excellent reception.</dcterms:abstract>
