Un engagement fort du médecin généraliste (MG) dans le parcours de santé des personnes trans est recommandé. L’objectif était de catégoriser les relations MG-personnes trans et d’en décrire les différents facteurs influençant. Méthodes : Enquête qualitative par entretiens semi-directifs de 14 MG installés en Bretagne. Analyse par théorisation ancrée. Résultats : Les relations MG-personnes trans peuvent être catégorisées selon le degrés d’engagement du MG : pas d’engagement, engagement moyen, engagement équilibré, et engagement fort. Les croyances et représentations des MG, les savoirs scientifiques et expérientiels du MG et de la personne trans, le questionnement éthique et déontologique du MG, la position de médecin de famille, et la temporalité de la transition de la personne trans, sont des facteurs influençant cette relation. Conclusion : L’illustration des facteurs influençant une relation imparfaitement développée entre les MG et les personnes trans doit permettre de venir soutenir de façon adaptée la pratique des MG dans le cadre de futures formations ou de dispositifs de soins. Introduction: Inequalities in terms of access to care among trans people is a public health problem, in a population marked by an over risk in mental health. A strong involvement of the general practitioner (GP) in the health pathway of trans people is recommended. The objective was to categorize GP-transgender relationships and to describe the different influencing factors. Methods: Qualitative survey by semi-directive interviews of 14 GPs installed in Britany. Analysis by anchored theorization. Results: The relationships between GPs and trans people can be categorized according to the degree of commitment of the GP: no commitment, average commitment, balanced commitment, and strong commitment. The beliefs and representations of the GP, the scientific and experiential knowledge of the GP and the trans people, the ethical and deontological questioning of the GP, the position of family doctor, and the temporality of the transition of the trans person, are factors influencing this relationship. Conclusion: The illustration of the factors influencing an imperfectly developed relationship between GPs and trans people should make it possible to support GPs' practice in an adapted way within the framework of future training courses or care arrangements.
