Matériels et Méthodes : Une enquête transversale a été réalisée sur LimeSurvey. Elle comprenait un total de 30 questions. Résultats : 1122 réponses complètes ont été enregistrées. Les adultes en cours de traitement orthodontique représentaient 19,9 ± 18,2% des patients des orthodontistes, mais seulement 2,67 ± 3,63 % des patients des omnipraticiens. La palpation et le sondage n’étaient pas réalisés, ou bien uniquement de manière ponctuelle dans 54,2% et 84,6% des cas par les orthodontistes. 54,5% des orthodontistes ne réalisaient jamais de clichés rétro alvéolaires. La gingivite et les récessions étaient des motifs de consultation pour 22,0% et 20,1% des omnipraticiens et parodontistes après traitement orthodontique. 43% des répondants avaient déjà eu un échec de traitement ortho-paro. Conclusion : connaissances et attitudes divergeaient entre les praticiens. Une uniformisation des pratiques devra être envisagée. Introduction: The main objective of this cross-sectional survey was to assess the knowledge, attitudes and professional practices of orthodontic-periodontal management of adult patients by French orthodontists, general practitioners and periodontists. Materials and Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on LimeSurvey. The questionnaire was divided into six sections covering the different stages of treatment and the medico-legal context. It included 30 questions. Results: 1122 complete responses were recorded. Adults undergoing orthodontic treatment represented 19.9 ± 18.2% of the orthodontists' patients, but only 2.67 ± 3.63% of GPs' patients. Palpation and probing were not performed, or only occasionally, in 54.2% and 84.6% of the cases by orthodontists. 54.5% of the orthodontists never performed retroalveolar radiographs. Gingivitis and recessions were major reasons for consultation for 22.0% and 20.1% of general practitioners and periodontists after orthodontic treatment. 43% of the practitioners felt that they had experienced interdisciplinary ortho-periodontal treatment failure. Conclusion: This survey revealed discrepancies in knowledge and attitudes among practitioners. Therapeutic management planning remains one of the major challenges of multidisciplinary treatment.
